Be You, Bravely

Be you, bravely.

These journaling prompts to write about your pain, loss, hurt and disappointment are not easy.  I salute you for taking the time to explore them.

A tip? Make yourself your favorite hot or cold beverage, find yourself a safe and cozy corner, play some light background music before you start writing.

Know that this excavation and reflection is a precious investment on your own personhood.

My best to you,

Angela

  1. In the depths of your silence lies a story untold. Reflect on a moment when words failed you, when your silence spoke volumes. What emotions were hidden beneath the surface? Explore the unspoken pain within your silence.
  2. Think back to a time when vulnerability felt like a heavy burden. Describe the weight of your emotions as they pressed against your chest, begging to be released. How did you carry this burden? What did it teach you about strength and resilience?
  3. Consider the cracks in your heart—the fractures caused by loss, betrayal, or disappointment. Write about the beauty found in these broken places. How have these cracks allowed light to seep in, illuminating the darkness within? Explore the paradox of finding strength in vulnerability.
  4. Imagine your pain as a landscape—an ever-changing terrain of highs and lows, valleys and peaks. Describe the journey through this emotional landscape. What landmarks do you encounter along the way? How do these moments of pain shape your understanding of yourself and the world around you?
  5. Explore the depths of your soul, where your pain resides like a hidden treasure waiting to be unearthed. Write a letter to your past self, offering words of comfort and wisdom in the midst of their pain. What advice would you give to your younger self? How does this reflection help you find healing and closure.
