“Fall, leaves, fall” (1846)
– Emily Bronte
Fall, leaves, fall; die, flowers, away;Lengthen night and shorten day;Every leaf speaks bliss to meFluttering from the autumn tree.I shall smile when wreaths of snowBlossom where the rose should grow;I shall sing when night’s decayUshers in a drearier day.
Fall leaves and the change of seasons lets us wear new clothes, think new thoughts, plan new things.
I like Emily Bronte’s poem for her musings on welcoming change as the leaves fall.
“Every leaf speaks bliss to me…” and I want to echo the sentiment in my writing and wardrobe!
